For the second time, the Nordic Water Network held the Autumn School in Flow Measurement Methods at the TU Berlin and welcomed students from the NTNU in Trondheim, the AAU in Aalborg and the CUT in Cracow. This time, we offered a basic introductory course for Bachelor and Master students as well as an advanced course for Master and PhD students.

The students in the basic course learned about the fundamentals of flow measurement methods incluing Laser Doppler Velocimetry, Particle Image Velocimetry and a number of practical hands-on exercises about specific measurement techniques.

Meanwhile, the advanced course heard from up-to-date research in the field of measurement techniques in different flow fields. Topics ranged from CFD analysis, flow control in turbomachinery to measurements in open rivers and channels and river modeling methods.
