Mid-November, the annual Wind Challenge was held at the NTNU in Trondheim. Thanks to the NWN, eight students from the TU Berlin were invited to join the challenge. After having designed and developed their generator and rotor during the summer semester in Berlin and Trondheim, measurements in the wind canal took place in Trondheim from November 14-17.
TU student Torsten Bunke reflects: “It was an extraordinary experience. The wind turbines are not only designed theoretically with little presettings and designed as a 3D model, but we could actually build and test it which was an exceptional experience for me. It was very interesting to meet and exchange ideas with the Norwegian participants and teachers. The intensive supervision and unproblematic organisation through the NWN was very enjoyable.”
