The Einstein Center Digital Future hosts its second hackathon from January 16th to 19th 2019. TU Berlin students can earn 3 ECTS for their participation. NWN fellow prof. Andrea Cominola from the chair of Smart Water Networks at TU Berlin looks forward to welcome you at this event.
From the website:
“As part of the Cities Hackathon #2 at the Einstein Center Digital Future, we will have the unique opportunity to examine the datasets of the state-owned housing associations “Stadt und Land” and “Howoge” as well as of the Berlin Transport Company (BVG) in order to identify opportunities and challenges to design action fields for the future development of urban spaces. In transdisciplinary teams, we will face the complexity of urban contexts – with cross-departmental work and thinking in the foreground:
What measures and tools can help to make the built environment more dynamic and adapt it to new speeds of usage? Where do structural weak spots exist in the neighborhoods and how can these be solved? Which ways and distances are being made due to the lack of infrastructures in the city? How can valuable data sources be used without undermining the digital self-determination of us citizens of Berlin?”
More information can be found here.
Deadline for registration is extended until December 31st 2018.
