On May 19th and 20th 2016, researchers from NTNU and TUB met in Trondheim in order to discuss possibilities of joint research in the area of fluid flow measurement. The scientists presented each other their current fields of investigation and later on discussed future collaboration.
“Our research groups face quite common challenges in terms of the measuring process of fluids in machines and pipes.” Julija Peter, research fellow at the Department of Fluid System Dynamics at the Technische Universität Berlin, sums up and concludes: “From what we have talked about, joining our competences in this area by mutual visits and sharing of knowledge is the logical consequence. Looking at common issues from various perspectives makes it easier to understand and solve them efficiently.”
As a first follow up, a joint Summer School entitled Advanced Measurement Techniques and Flow Fields for doctoral candidates and master students will be held in Berlin in October this year.
