Approximately ten Master and PhD students from TU Berlin will have the opportunity to attend the Water Week at the NTNU Trondheim from October 4th – 10th, 2016. Professors of both universities will give lectures and seminars during this week including topics like the development of integrated assimilation strategies of urban water management, smart choice of materials as well as the targeted usage of different transportation options, and basics about the operation of wastewater pumps. Special focus lies on the future dealing with the effects of climate change. Furthermore, intercultural competences will be gained by actively participating in the running courses at the Norwegian university.

After this course, students should be able to classify the entity of fresh and wastewater systems in the urban context as well as partially design them themselves. They will know about the special challenges induced through the climatic, geologic and geographic prerequisites in Norway as well as in Germany which influence the planning and operation of these systems.

Students receive 6 ECTS for the course.
