As in the previous year our Summer School “Contemporary Water Processing and Management” took place in Cracow from June 3rd to 7th 2019. Students from TU Berlin, CUT Cracow and NTNU Trondheim participated in the lecture series which involved nine lectures and exercises as well as other activities.

The presented topics ranged from surface water quality, possibilities of advanced phosphorus removal, hydraulic and hydrological modelling for flood risk management to alternative technologies in water and wastewater treatment. Apart from that the students concluded two laboratory exercises and took part in an excursion to the Dobczyce reservoir and to a water treatment plant.

A framework program supplementing the Summer School included a joint dinner and a tour through the Cracow Underground Museum and therefor offering great opportunities for the participating students to expand their networks.
