Students from our partner universities can now apply for the following Nordic Water Network Autumn Schools:

  1. Flow Measurement Methods at TU Berlin
  2. Advanced Measurement Techniques for Different Flow Fields at AAU in Aalborg (Denmark)

Participants will be chosen by the first come first served principle.


Autumn School “Flow Measurement Methods” in Berlin

The autumn school “Flow Measurement Methods” will take place at TUB from 21th to 25th October 2019. Students from all six partner universities will learn the fundamentals of flow measurement methods including Laser Doppler Velocimetry, Particle Image Velocimetry and a number of practical hands-on exercises about specific measurement techniques. The school will include lectures by our teachers of the Dept. of Fluid System Dynamics at TUB, our industry partner Dr.-Ing. Michael Dues (ILA GmbH) and lecturers from the NTNU Trondheim. The Autumn School is awarded with 6 ECTS for participation and passing of a written exam. Bachelor students will be preferred,  Master students can apply aswell. Members of other universities than TUB are eligible to receive financial support by the DAAD.

Autumn School “Advanced Measurement Techniques for Different Flow Fields” in Aalborg

This year´s advanced Autumn School for flow measurement methods will take place at Aalborg University (AAU) from 7th to 11th October 2019. MSc and PhD students will be taught in “advanced measurement techniques for different flow fields”, including CFD-Simulation. Participating and passing the written exam will be awarded with 6 ECTS. Bachelor students are welcome to apply aswell, Master and PhD level students have priority. TUB-students are eligible to receive financial support by the DAAD.

Autumn School “Water Week” in Trondheim

The NTNU invites students from the NWN-partner universities for the third time to participate in the Water Week. It takes place from 7th to 11th October 2019 and is open for students on the master-level. During the Water Week the participants learn the best of NTNU water research including water and stormwater management, asset management and pumping systems. The autumn school includes lectures, exercises, excursion and an exam. Bachelor students are welcome to apply aswell, Master and PhD level students have priority. TUB-members are eligible to receive financial support by the DAAD.
